Akmyrat Tuyliyev

 

Akmyrat Tuyliyev is a Turkmen producer and new media artist, working at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and culture.

Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor of Immersive Experiences at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Recently, he produced Snapchat AR lenses for Nike, Air Jordan, Coca-Cola, Disney and more. Prior to work with Snap, Akmyrat served as an interactive producer at PBS’s POV Spark, where he produced international productions, including Instagram documentary series Otherly in partnership with the NFB (Webby Nominee 2022) and Atomu VR (Sundance 2020). Additionally, he directed/produced and showcased new media experiences with the United Nations, The History Channel, the Museum of Other Realities, Made in NY Media Center by IFP and Frank Gehry’s IAC Building Video Wall.

Akmyrat studied film at Savannah College of Art and Design and earned his Masters from NYU Tisch ITP.
