Onassis ONX Membership Application

Onassis ONX is seeking expressions of interest from artists and technologists making new media, immersive XR, and AI works. We are a center for artistic innovation and seek members who are creatively driven and whose work is experimental in nature. Candidates will be expected to share a major project they that will be presented during their time as an Onassis ONX member and developed out of the studio.

Candidates should be experienced practitioners who have produced and successfully distributed or presented work in a public forum. We are also open to candidates developing new models for presenting XR experiences, including but not limited to live performance or new software and hardware platforms.
 
The Onassis ONX program is ideally suited for small teams and is not an accelerator for commercial platforms or content. Our team reviews member applications at least twice a year.

WHAT DOES ONX OFFER ITS MEMBERS?

STUDIO: Onassis ONX is a state-of-the-art hybrid production and exhibition space with a global community of members who create interactive and immersive XR works. It was designed by architectural firm Leong Leong and located in Olympic Tower, a Class A office building in midtown Manhattan. Members will be provided with an access card allowing them use of the studio 24/7. More information about the our production resources and space can be found in our Onassis ONX Tech Sheet.

COMMUNITY: Onassis ONX is a shared workspace and professional program designed to support creative practitioners working in XR. It provides a working environment that is free from discrimination and harassment for all individuals. We also offer small grants to accelerate projects as well as access to our network of institutional partners.

WHERE IS ONX STUDIO LOCATED?

ONX Studio is located in midtown Manhattan on the lower lever of the Olympic Tower, 645 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10022. Entrances to are on 51st Street and 52nd Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue.
